Italian → German
The majority of the legal documents we translate from Italian into German (cantonal court decisions, contracts, bank forms and correspondence from banks headquartered in Ticino, etc.) come to us from clients based in the canton of Ticino. However, we also have extensive experience in the translation of Italian court decisions, statements of claim by Italian lawyers, letters or reports issued by the Bank of Italy (Banca d'Italia), and documents submitted by the Italian criminal authorities in the framework of mutual legal assistance proceedings. With such documents we pay particular attention to adapting the syntactic structure of the original to optimize readability in German.
Where concepts of Italian law appear that are unknown under Swiss law, we draw this to the client’s attention. If you need a German translation of a statement of claim or a letter written in Italian for submission to a public authority or a court in the German-speaking part of Switzerland, we recommend our special service Hieronymus Plus, for a translation by a lawyer from the canton in question using the terminology and local usages specific to that canton.
