Legally secure, confidential and court-admissible translations of all trial documents.

We provide accurate, timely and strictly confidential translations of trial documents for judicial and arbitral proceedings, even under tight deadlines.
Our core skills include the precise translation of any documents pertaining to judicial and arbitral proceedings. These include legal documents, e.g. complaints, statements of defence, replies, rejoinders, submissions of the adverse party, as well as judgements and other procedural documents, such as offers of evidence. We are familiar with the standard expressions and particular legal phrasing on the cantonal and international levels and convey the lines of argument clearly and consistently. We abide by the terminology of Swiss federal law and take the translation’s context and target audience into account.
Time is often of the essence for precautionary measures, arrest warrants or petitions for ex parte measures. Our vast experience in such areas enables us to deliver legally accurate translations even under very tight deadlines. For over fifteen years, we have developed termbases and theme-specific glossaries, ensuring solid translations of the terms of civil procedure, debt enforcement, and bankruptcy law, including into English.
The faithful translation of supporting documents can be decisive. We translate supporting documents in the context of the other procedural documents and advise you to provide us with the relevant passages in which the exhibit is cited. Our clients also appreciate the care with which we translate excerpts from legal scholarship and case law; depending on the target language, we take into account the terminology and standard expressions of the relevant Swiss language region as well as Federal Supreme Court decisions in the corresponding language. When translating into English, we conduct comparative legal research where required in order to convey the meaning of the Swiss terms accurately, particularly in the case of judgements, rulings, orders. and arbitration awards.
