Hieronymus is a specialist legal translation agency with offices in Fribourg and Zurich. Hieronymus was founded in 2007 by lawyers for lawyers, and quickly established itself as the leading translation address for demanding clients in Switzerland. Over more than a decade, it has proved itself to be a reliable partner for highly specialized legal translation projects, from the simplest to the most complex.

Confidentiality is our stock-in-trade. Each element in our production chain – from our translation procedures to the training of our employees and our IT infrastructure – have been tailored to meet the specific requirements our specialised clientèle.
Hieronymus works to remain at the cutting edge of translation technology. Hieronymus recently launched the first dedicated neural translation machine specialised in Swiss law. LEXMachina can provide machine translations to and from all three official languages in Switzerland, and English.

Paula Reichenberg is both a lawyer and an economist. Since founding the company in 2007, she has led Hieronymus with a bottom-up approach, with a particular emphasis on innovation. Prior to the founding of Hieronymus, she was a lawyer at one of Switzerland’s leading law firms, with offices in Zurich, Geneva and Lugano. There she specialised in mergers and acquisitions (M & A), and banking and finance. Her professional experience makes her uniquely qualified to understand the translation needs of professionals working the Swiss legal and financial world. Hieronymus has set as its primary strategic objective to maintain its position as standard-setter for high-quality legal translations, while making full use of technological innovations and advances.
